I did a pork loin and some roasted potatoe slabs on the mini tonight. I put this rasberry chipotle sauce on both! There's somethin about sweet with a little hot after-burn that I love --- kinda like chips and chocolate! ;) :P One fairly lame shot -really struggling with photobucket on my phone tonight . :S

  • Julia,

I love a sweet/hot glaze over pork. Normally, I'll put a pepper jelly glaze over pork chops, etc. Sound about the same with your addition.

I'm sure it tasted great !!!!!

Nice flavas!! I really dig that sweet/hot combo too. Is there an online source for that brand?

    Molly,

    www.jardinefoods.com

It's from Texas but I received as a gift for Christmas - I think my friend bought at one of those kiosk stores that only pop up at Christmas. I've checked out the website, they sell all sorts of stuff. I'm gonna order a new supply soon!

  • Molly, not sure if you have a HomeGoods next to you but they have it at the one next to me. J.

Thanks for posting. I'll look for that sauce!

Got some loin chops queued up for this week.

  • Read an interesting article about DL Jardine's when I was in Austin. Apparently the Pres or VP (I forgot which) was a intern there just a couple years before. Talk about moving up real quick.

They make it in Buda, TX. That's Bue-da for those of you not from TX. They have funny pronunciations for everything there.

Try Fischer and Weiser's (www.jelly.com) Original Roasted Raspberry Chipotle Sauce. It is also made in Texas (Fredericksburg), and their stuff is fantastic. Great on pork, cream cheese, you name it. I made a dutch oven roast beef a few weeks ago on my egg, and took this sauce and mixed it with a little mayo and used it as a dip for my roast beef sandwiches. I have had both, and both are good, but personally I prefer the F&W.

Thanks, sounds great -especially with the beef! Maybe I'll order a jar of that before getting another of jardines.
  • thanks for the website. I realy like the mix of sweet and hot. The kids are getting old enough to enjoy it also.

    Cheers,
