Just back from a planning meeting for NiEGGara Fest II with the Winery (www.hernder.com)and our sponsor (www.lakeshorelivinglife.com) The fest will be held Saturday September 18, 2010. We'll have our website updated and running in a few weeks.
Our fest last year was amazing. But this year is really going to be 'over the top'!
Our Meet and Greet is now included with registration. The Cooks will be able to prep for Saturday right on-site with close to 1 ton of meat provided by sponsors! (Cooks can provide their own meats if you want, but for those coming from the US, we got everything you are going to need!) We are calling this the "Meat and Marinade". It will be a great opportunity for Cooks and Eggheads alike to share and learn from each other. We will also have Food/Beverage and live music.
The next day, the fest will kick off at 9 and run until 3. Lots of Food provided by EGG chefs, Beverage service, charity raffle draw prizes, a kids area, music and more.
All this for just 40 bucks! (Cooks and Kids free!)
We are budgeting 1,000 eggheads for our event!
We got a Host hotel with plenty of rooms for us this year. AND A FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE!
It's gonna be fantastic! Mark your calenders now and watch for the banner to be posted soon!
Last year was good but this year could be something really special! ;)
Hope to see you there!

You Rock, Tim ;) :P - sounds like you are really raising the bar, and I thought it was pretty high last year! Can't help myself...hope you enjoy the HOCKEY game tomorrow!

Pat, it would be great if you could join us up north! We did have an amazing time last year - Tim et al did an awesome job putting on a really nice 1st-ever event for us!
  • Julia,
Without patting myself I the back. We did set the bar quite high last year. Just trying to make sure it wasn't a case of "Beginner's Luck".
Chris Hernder of Hernder Estates bought a demo last year. He hung out all day. He is really offering us the world to take it to another level. And like us, he is just and Egghead!. The perfect attitude.
If you thought last year was nice, wait til you see this place! Bigger and better for sure. And your brother will like that we have Beer too! :woohoo:
  • I sure hope you can make it. Should be a good time again. Plus it would be nice to meet you too.

Since it is in the planning stage I guess I could get started "planning" too. Which airport would be the best to fly into? We sure would like to make this one.

  • Hamilton Airport is pretty good too, but the US destinations are limited.

  • Hi Max:

The laws in Ontario for accessibility are pretty strict.

I can't vouch for this specific facility, I would be surprised if they didn't have facilities to accommodate.

We hope you can make it.

    Michael
  • Max,

A Crosby jersey in Canada. That is like cheating. See ya at Waldorf :) But seriously folks, our universal access codes are pretty strong. I would think you would not have issues.
