Just taking a shot in the dark.
I know there are many hunters and shooters on this forum.
I have a Colt AR-15 Match Target HBAR that I would like to scope.
I plan on using a Larue mount so prefer a 30mm tube but a good 1" will work.
Any of you Eggers have a good used scope for sale?
I don't need a $2000 scope but don't want to spend $200 on a scope mount for a cheap scope.
Thanks for your time.
Darian
Thank you,
Darian

You might send an email to Bubba Tim. He is a competition shooter and might be able to advise you.

    Hey Photo Egg

Just curious, are you looking for a combat type red dot or sporter type scope?

I have a Cooper Varmint Extreme in .223.

The scope is a Sightron Big Ski 6-24X42. The AO will focus down to 10 yards, the image is wall to wall bright and clear and they have a lifetime warranty. Hard to beat. I used to get good service and prices from Bear Basin Outfitters. The guy on the phone never won any personality contests but always got the job done.
My Cooper Western Classic (Lefty) in .22LR with a Sightron Big Sky 4-16X42.

Good luck, buying a scope is a royal pain, way to many to choose from.

    Thank you for the info.
I had not run across the Sightron before.
Yes, I'm looking for a sporter type.
Just looking to plink with this one.
I added a good adjustable trigger but it wil never drive tacks like yours.
I have a Smith and Wesson M&P 15a with a red dot to chase intruders looking for a free Egg.
Visited Fort Myers last year. My sister lived right on the border of Meyers and Cape Coral. Much dryer climate than I ever would have expected.

  • Hi Photo Egg

I wish I could get out and just plink with mine. Here in Florida it's easy to own a gun just be super careful where and when you pull the trigger.

The Sightrons in my opinion as as good as Leupold opticaly and have some nicer features. The close focus of the AO is handy and the target turrets with 1/8 MOA clicks are a nice touch and they cost less. They are well built. You might call them and see if anyone in your area has them in stock so you can see one hands on. My target rifles get a Weaver T36. At 36X it is a benchrest scope, no chance of holding that steady.

Love them Colt's, I have a few revolvers that I love.
Pythons .357 Mag. except for second down, Target model is .38 Special.

I like photographing guns as much as food or anything else. LOL.

I have an ACOG on my colt HBAR. Cruise on over to AR15.com and look at the classified section. Some good deals can be had.
