EGGING CAN BE AND IS ADDICTING!!!
My husband and I are living proof that egging is extrememly addictive.
We have gone from being a 1 egg family to 7 in just 18 mos. I never dreamt in a million years that I would be buying egg #7.
Before we bought our first egg I would go on the forum and I'd read posts about people that had mulitiple eggs and I thought to myself."What is wrong with these people?" Why on earth would anyone need more than one egg?" Well, now I get it.
BTW - Watch out for the eggfests too!! Once you go to one and it gets in your blood you'll never be able to stop. Thanks to AZRP (my mentor) who took me under his wing at my first eggfest. We just attended our 10th eggfest last weekend and we have 9 on our calendar for this year.
All joking aside we've enjoyed egging and all the great people we've met during this short time.
Happy egging, and I look forward to meeting a lot of you new eggers soon.
Thanks again to BBQ Island in Tempe, AZ. These guys are the best!!!
Here is the newest addition to our family. We were going to pick up a mini and somehow we ended up with a small.

Here's a picture of JT, Mike, and my husband Del with the mini we were going to buy.

Mike (owner of BBQ Island), showing us a Kamado Joe. A striking resemblance to a Big Green Egg.

A little fine tuning.

JT doing a pose for Sara (AZRP's & Desert Filly's daughter).

JT and "Trip"

Egg #7 at home with egg #6. I think we are complete, at least I hope we are.

Anne,
So you just left that poor little mini alone at the store? Heartless if you ask me. You can't quit now that you are only one behind one of those "what's wrong with" people. Julie is up to seven.

Anne...............With all those eggies I suggest we plan a reelgemfest in your place.......
-
I like the idea, but why have that many Eggs?
-
LOL!!! I really did feel bad leaving that little guy behind but there were 2 other people that wanted it so it went to a good home. BTW- Julie and I are tied. That was #7 for us.
BTW- Steve, aren't you a member of the Lucky 7 club? -
Is that Jed Clampet? -RP
-
You have enough Eggs to host your own Eggfest...
You are a great couple to spread the word.
Take care,
Darian
PS. Keep an eye out for "Pretzel Pete, Sour Cream & Habanero" gourmet pretzel nuggets.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
Anne's BGE friends are well known for having ferocious appetites...
-
I love that idea Beli!! That would be fun!!!
-
-
The good news is, whey won't do drugs or steel from you.
Nice family there Anne and Del
Ross -
I really don't "need" 7 eggs John. It's just nice to have different sizes. Sometimes you're cooking multiple things and you need different temps. For instance I'll sear steaks on the small and then finish them off on the large. The large is definitely my most used of all, followed by the small and then the mini.
-
You're at 8!!! I do need to get a mini.
-
LOL!! There's a little resemblance there Randy.
-
-
Anne, really now!

Congratulations on #7.
However, we need to do some clarifying.
How many eggs in 'one' location, and disclosure of eggs that are 'travel eggs' with part time responsibility for cooking with the full time eggs. And, we need to know how many people are at home.
If there are two or more homes how many eggs at each home, home could be second home, cabin, summer home, trailer, motor home or tent somewhere.
And, not cooking for groups...
This will be interesting and if you have all 7 eggs in one place what the heck is the matter with you.You need a 36 step program :woohoo: :woohoo: Well maybe a 24 step program and I need a 12 step program. 2 people, 1 location 4 eggs, but geeze mom I really need one of each.
More eggs more fun.
Kent -
Beli mentioned that too Darian. That would be a blast. Forget having a fest just an after party. :woohoo:
-
You have a good point there.
Kent -
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! For some reason I believe that.
-
I agree...the after parties are the best.
Do we all have to wear Packer colors to your Eggfest?
DarianThank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
There's nothing left to steal Ross. After #7 we're broke. Del's going to be standing on a corner soon with a cardboard sign and a mini for people to throw money into.
-
And the after the after parties are even better. Next one I'm going to have security at the door and they're going to confiscate all recording devices. :woohoo:
Are you and Lori coming to OKC? -
which reminds me, Anne, are you two customers of Associated Bank?Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time!
-
I think we did a good job keeping the photos and video off the web from OKC. You know your door man will turn on you for a cold beer and a coffee table to surf.
Still working out details for OKC. Lora is very tight with her time off and I would have to tell her I was going to visit my parents in MN because there is no way she would let me go solo to OKC.
darianThank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
LOL!!!
Ok Kent, do you work for an egg resuce?
This is all legit. Here's a little clarification. None of my eggs travel. I just never have gotten into the "Have eggs will travel" group and I don't own a cabin, motorhome, tent, summer home or trailer. But I wouldn't mind a motorhome. We do have them split into 2 places. 5 are in the frozen tundra and 2 are in the desert. I'm not in need of the 36 or 24 step program..... yet. I do know of a forum member with 8 eggs in one location. I'm not giving his name out but his handle intials are LS and he lives in Canda. :woohoo:
Hey you're not far behind with 4. You've made it to the 4 or more club. What sizes do you have? Just curious. -
lol I went into my dealer EBBQ last July to buy a mini and wound up taking home a small, wonder what I will take home the next time I go in there to buy a mini :P
-
They weren't in one location when I was there. There were 5 in the front and 3 in the back if I remember correctly.
Doug -
Sick... We are all just sick with the green flue...... Hello My name is Julie and I own 7 big green eggs.... do we need a page just for this???? what is the world coming too when this is a problem.. And I know how the newbies feel when they look at these post and they have their first Egg and they are thinking 2 Eggs, or three??? WOW why would you need three eggs.... but ours are split between Maine And Florida and I could not spend 5 months down here Eggless...... and some needed rescue.... they were in a bad bad place and you cannot let them live that way.......
And fests.... I will not even go there... only three for us this year... NINE??? now someone does have a problem -
LOL!! I hear you. I had "no" intentions whatsoever of getting a small. Funny how things happen.
-
I am sooooo ashamed. I only have 3 Eggs....I dare not show my face...
:woohoo::silly:
I am like you though Anne...when I first started it was like why do these people need more than one Egg...it quickly became apparent that one was not enough... :woohoo:
See you guys in March.... -
You're too funny Julie!!!
I really do think we need help. I do feel a little better to know you're right here with me at 7. Little Steven is one up on us and his are all at one house. Now that is sick.
Can't wait to see you and Neil at the FL Fest. :woohoo:
