Ahhhh .....Sunday dinner. I decided to try out Wudeyedo's Meatloaf recipe and boy was it good! The egg held at about 350* and the total cook was about an hour and a half. Not too shabby. I deviated from the recipe in one small area. My grocery store had a meatloaf pack in the case that I used. It had a half pound each of ground beef, ground pork, and ground veal. Other than that the rest was followed to the letter.[p]Here is the egg warming up and the meatloaf is all ready to go on. I used the Dizzy red eye express as my bbq seasoning because I didn't have the seasoning Wudeyedo uses.[p]meatloaf1.jpg[p]Here is my setup right before the meatloaf went on. I used 3 small firebricks wrapped in aluminum foil. On top of that is my drip pan also wrapped in foil. And finally the grid extender is on top.[p]meatloaf2.jpg[p]Now we're cooking![p]meatloaf3.jpg[p]And here they are just as I pulled them off. Boy do they look good![p]meatloaf4.jpg[p]And the final product. Very moist and very delicious. Life is good! Cheers![p]meatloaf5.jpg

Hey, Wudeyedo was at the Texas Eggfest and fixed some of his famous meatloaf for all. It was fantastic. Flavor all the way through. Really Great. BTW where did you get a blue egg? You camera make it blue?

What is his recipe anyway? I can't find it and forgot to ask him for it.

StubbyQ,[p]Yeah, it was truely a keeper recipe. And nope. My camera didn't turn my egg blue. I bought my egg in Florida. I've been told a couple different stories why they made blue eggs. One was that its a limited edition Florida Gator blue egg. The other is that the people in Florida didn't like a green cooker sitting next to their swimming pools so they made some blue.[p]Either way its a Big Blue Egg.[p]Cheers!
