yea, I know it sounds strange, but the apples get nice & soft & add a very nice sweetness against the saltiness of the bacon & the blue cheese, the walnuts just taste plain great & give it the nice crunch; the apples also work great for moisture in lieu of saucehappy in the hut

Mike, in fact, yes, I actually had two ideas at the same time, but the other went in a sufficiently different direction than this one, with a whole lotta other prep involved, so I passed on it & just made 2 of these & 2 plain pies; I'll do the other one probably next weekend. And thanks for the compliment, I do appreciate it, Marchappy in the hut
