Help with brisket and beef short ribs

Good weather predicted, so this weekend I want to cook a thawed brisket flat (won't be thawed till Sunday), not sure of the weight. I got some beef short ribs from Albertsons. Never cooked beef ribs before, but my plan is to have the beef ribs above the brisket so that the fat rendering of the beef ribs will baste the brisket. I plan to cook the brisket at 250, so what's the timeing...will all go on the same time, do the ribs take less time/more time. I'm thinking that the brisket flat and beef short ribs will take about the same time per pound, but I really have no idea. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
