For your testing pleasure...

It was 35° when I did these and only worked on small sections on each item. All of these were a spray, rest and wipe with a cotton towel.

The hardest was the dome bent, almost 4 years of use without cleaning, this took some rubbing and extra spraying.

Mates - sprayed and let soak for about 2 minutes then wiped.

Formica table top gets very sticky and the ash/dirt really builds up tough. This was a spray short soak and a wipe.

And the grid - spray soak and then a light wipe (top and bottom

Cleaned the MAPP bottle and head easily, tongs and accessory cabinet.

You should have the package sometime next week.

  • Back in the Dark Ages when I first got my large Egg, I tried many methods and chemicals to clean the black streaks coming out from the Daisy Wheel. Looked like tar all down the sides of the dome and it was continuing to grow. Very embarrassing.

I asked for advice and got many suggestions, none of which worked until someone suggested using oven cleaner. Spray on, wait a few minutes and wipe off. I did and it worked like a champ.

I also use oven cleaner to clean my Griddle Q's. But the last oven cleaner I got didn't do such a good job. I'm trying another brand now and I'm not impressed. I think the one that works is either Target's store brand or Kroger's store brand. I'll know soon.

I'm really curious about what you are sending. From what I see in the photos it may be the Super-Dooper Cleaner that everyone is looking for. I promise to give it a thorough test in the Coop Test Kitchen and report my findings back to you.
