Wok stovetop ring

Anyone know a Local place that may be able to find a ring to use my wok on the stovetop? Anyone bought one and if so what store? I hate to buy a 3 dollar ring online and pay 10 dollars shipping. Surely there is some national retailer that sells them in a store.

I use my wok in my BGE not on a stove. It gets much hotter and cooks more efficiently. Sorry I can't help.

All of the larger Asian groceries around here (Jersey Shore) sell them, and $3 is about the right price.

What part of the country do you live in? I would give you one, but the shipping from Florida might spoil the deal. Look in tag sales, church/charity resale shops, oriental markets. Or you might get a large diameter 8 inches or so metal can and cut it about 2 inches tall and take the bottom out.

For years I used a round bottomed wok setting directly on an electric stove burner. I think I had a ring, but never used it. Couldn't see the point.

Im in between Lexington and Louisville ky. I use it on my egg but sometimes I would like to use it on my gas range.

have you tried it on the gas range without a ring. mine sits into the grate and i stopped using the ring

Sorry no hand delivery to KY, tooo Cold. I have a Tappan gas and my flat bottom and also my round fit just fine without a ring.
