In big letters for wise one. This is directly from what Page sent me. Hopefully reproducing here with his permission. Apparently it wasn't actually cooked ON the egg, but I'm sure it could be. Feel free to experiment!!![p]Sausage mixture:
2 lbs Jimmy Dean sausage (1 hot, 1 regular)
16 ounces 3 cheese shredded
5 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
2 eggs (beat)
1 tbsp parsley flakes[p]Brown sausage, drain, cool. Mix with remaining ingredients.[p]Crust:
Jiffy Mix (meat roll on back of box) - double recipe.[p]Roll ½ sausage mixture into each loaf, 14 x 12.
Brush with egg white.
Bake 350 degree - until brown.[p]The crust was a blue box that said Jiffy mix on it and on the back in the center of the box is a meat roll recipe.....that is the crust mixture I used.
I baked it for about 30 mins. in the oven at home and then just reheated at eggfest to keep things easy.............Page

mollyshark, a couple of questions. Are the two eggs mixed with the erst of the ingredients an dadded to the dry ingredients? Are the egg whites extra? What is the 14x12?

    Wise One,
The 2 eggs are added to the cooled down sausage when you start adding the cheese and other ingredients....kinda acting like a binder. The crust mixture when mixed is enough to divide into two 14x12(roughly) rolled out peices....then lay half of your sausage mixture into the center of each one and fold up like a burrito....once this is done I seperated another egg and brushed the outside of both rolls to produce a nice golden brown color when baking.......HTH...feel free to ask anymore questions....Page

  • mollyshark,
you should try using chuck's stromboli dough recipe with pg's sausage filling. ..i bet that would REALLY be good!!

  • mollyshark,
Quick TIP- in place of preparing dough from scratch or waiting for the frozen loaf dough to thaw, you can use the French Bread in the tube found in the dairy section. This dough can be un-rolled then pressed to desired size.
