I sliced them about 1/4 inch thick or a little less. I LOVE onions and I think if I were doing it for me, I'd slice them about 3/4 inches thick.

I've got to say that the one I did the other day was incredible. I loved it. It could've been just me, but I've also got to say that it took me to a previously unexperienced gastronomical plateau. In other words...make sure everyone has a piece for self defense purposes.[p]Mike
