Large or Medium BGE?

My wife has purchased a medium BGE for my birthday this year! I am SO excited since I have heard so many good things about the BGE. I enjoy my Broilmaster gas grill and can't wait to learn more about the BGE.
I think it may be better to upgrade to the large BGE rather than the medium. The dealer is willing to make the exchange since we have not picked it up yet. Is there any reason to not get the larger size? Uses more lump coal? Fewer accessories for a large BGE? More expensive?
Looking forward to your advice,
Tom

Get the large. You wont regret it. More accessories on Large. Little more money but not that much. More lump coal is not good reason to stay w/ Medium. I think most on this forum have a Large.Large & MiniMax in Lexington, KY

Get the large. The increased selection on accessories alone is reason enough.

Tom, welcome to the forum amd Eggdom. You will really enjoy the BGE no matter what size you get.
My vote is also for the large. The large is sort of the gold standard for BGE. There are more accessories available, and most people here have the large. Therefore, if you have issues you may be able to get more responses.
Also, you will likely find that you want more cooking space even with a large. Double or even triple the space is nice. You could really outgrow the med quickly.
Anyway, that's my thoughts on the subject. Good luck. Let us know what you decide and how you like it. -
Welcome to the forum and congratulations.
Like a lot of forum members I have multiple eggs. You ask, Is there any reason to not get the larger size?
Uses more lump coal? Possibly a little but I don't notice much difference between the two. Any of the eggs don't have to have a full load of lump on every single cook. Plus the lump that is not used in one cook is used during the next cook and the cook after that. For the most part this is a non issue.
Fewer accessories for a large BGE? Actually the large has more accessories. You probably won't need them all but they are there.
More expensive? Yes, but it won't be as expensive if you get the medium then decide you want the large.

Tom....Spring for the large. More eggcessories, more versatile. Then get the medium for your second egg.... We have Larges and a medium. Couldn't do without either!
And Welcome! You should consider this forum the best BGE resource on the planet! Can't even begin to explain the knowledge of folks packed into this place! -
Thanks for all the responses. I am very excited about the BGE and I will go with the large. Last night I could not sleep and spent the time surfing BGE info- now I have to find or make the perfect BGE table! Oh my, this is going to be fun and time consuming.
Thanks again for everyone's help,
Tom

Tom, if you buy the medium you will be buying a large down the road....and a mini. Give your Broilmaster a little kiss as you won't be using it again.

Have to agree with everyone here but only agree with Little Steven with half his post. Don't sell the Gasser keep it to store your accessories. Welcome, you will not be disappointed at all.

Get the Large

I love my medium, but the large is probably the right call. good decision.
My medium works for me in part because my fiance doesnt eat beef, pork, or chicken, so I am usually just cooking for myself.
