You're torturing me with that corn! I love corn grilled in the husk (with pounds of butter). We're a good 5 months away from having anything decent.
That chicken skin looks delicious. Congrats on your first cook! -
Schweeet..... And a very pristine white... Ohh well, it'll go away soon enough. Keep at it!

Wow that is a clean egg. Very nice looking bird you have there I would think it tasted great.
Great looking meal there mate.
Good luck next week in the Olympics. It was fun hosting Australia in the 2002 Olympics. The speed skating event was 10 minutes from my house all the events were within 45 minutes. Great fun.

Beautiful yardbird.Love corn on the Egg but this time of year it is $6.53 for 4 ears and that is just not doable.

Great pics, Hartleybear. Looks like you did a great job on the ole first cook.
Welcome to the best tasting grilled food across all the continents!
One little problem, though, with your pics..... I don't know how long we can stand those summer pics (shorts, no shoes) while we are freezing over here in the States!   -
Thanks for your eggsperience guys/girls

Save that pic... white PS, white fire ring, and something black that looks like felt all around the edge. Bet it won't look the same in 30 days! Enjoy!Kent Madison MS

I'm also from Oz - so feel free to send me a message if you want to share any experience you have.
Would also be interested to find out where you get your charcoal from! -
The corn, the 1st fire, the green grass...a beautiful dinner and great set of pics!

Nicely done. Your Egg looks brand new! Throw some wood chips in there and that'll dirty it up in no time!

Just using the bge lump, got 2 bags to get through before i need some more. But was talking to a fellow egger at barbeques galore and he uses the red gum charcoal that they sell in the 3kg bag about $13.He reckons it goes alright.A mate of mine tried the mallee root charcoal that i use on the weber but it is too dense for the egg.Took ages to get going and the temp was all over the place .So give that a try.

Darn. How many cooks have you done so far ? Your EGG is so nice and clean inside. I can't remember when my EGG was that clean.
Enjoy the new BARBIE, I mean your EGG.

You should put some shoes on. Not because of the danger of stepping on lit lump, but because everything (possibly even sparrows) in your country is poisonous.
I know this because I watch the Discovery channel. I'm surprised that anyone living there is alive at all.
All joking aside welcome to the club. Great looking start.
