How long can cryovac BB ribs keep in frig?

I bought babyback ribs from Costco to cook on Super Bowl Sunday. Went to another party instead. How long can I keep these ribs in the refrigerator before cooking? They are still in the cryovac packaging, and I can't cook them before next Sunday soonest.
The "sell by" date is today. Thanks.

Don't mess around with pork. Freeze them.

I purchased some from Costco that were close the sell date. When I opened them they had a terrible smell. I did some research online and found that this can be normal due to the gasses etc., in the cryovac pack. I gave them a good rinse in cold water and the smell did go away. Anyone else out there have this happen?

yeah. it's common

I too had a bad experience with these ribs; I wouldn't risk it. I had a package that was within date and when opened, the smell was unreal. Even rinsing them didn't help; I threw them away and haven't bought any since...

Technically you should be able to keep them fresh (refrigerated) until the Sell By date on the package. The problem is you have no idea of the conditions that the package has been through from the time it was butchered until the time it made it into your cart. I agree with carwash mike, the best advice would be to freeze them until you are ready to use them.
