Plate Setter Use
I'm a new BGE user (ok, convert -- 1 week, 5 meals, all excellent. Would have made more, except I was forced to go out a couple nights). I have bought way too many accessories, most recently a pizza stone and a plate setter (yes, it was medium size). Can any of you help me out with how you use this piece?

Janey, the plate setter is probably the most useful Egg item you can get. It turns the Egg into an "oven" by placing a barrier between the hot coals and the food. With feet up place a drip pan on the setter, then the grill on the feet. You can now "egg" a boston butt, a brisket, ribs, casseroles, smoked pot of chili, stews, etc.You will be amazed at the difference in taste of Egged vs non-egged, once you try some of these. If you place the setter"feet down" then you can put a pizza stone at opening level on the setter for the best tasting, brick oven-smoked pizzas or breads, calzones, etc.HTH
