Should I add a mini?

I'm thinking about adding a mini to my collection of grills. I have a large Egg and also have a couple offsets mounted on a trailer.
Approx. what is the cost? I'd like some feed back from mini owners as to the capacity and the value...is it worth it?
Help?
Thanks,

<p />BucsFanJim,[p]Get one. I use my Mini as much if not more than my Medium and Small Eggs. Plus, it's highly portable, very quick to get started, great for searing at 1000+ temps, and ideal for those smaller meals for just you or just you and the wife. I think they're in the neighborhood of $150 with a stand.[p]I'm sure YB will post a picture showing how he's cooked a double-decker grid worth of chicken on one.[p]TRex

BucsFanJim,[p]I bought one last summer and can't believe how handy it is to have around. Great for single meal dinners when the wife is working and wonderful to take camping. I get a lot of attention when I pull the thing from the back jumpseat of my 4x4 and set it up next to the picnic table. While everyone else is roasting hotdogs on sticks, I'm smoking away some Johnsonville brats, hamburgers, chicken, steak, you name it. It's a real conversation piece for meeting fellow campers in the area.
I liked mine so much that I bought one for my lil brother (a single man) for Christmas. It was roughly $160.00 including the S&H to Raleigh.
I personally have never had my mini in the 1000* range. Maybe my lump is too small. I usually keep it in the 450 to 500* range. Mac

  • Mac in NC ,[p]How big is the mini (cook surface)... is it big enough to fit at least one spatchcock on? Or do you need to bumb up to a small for that?[p]Brian

Nardi, get the mini - it's great, diameter 9" (64sq in)= enough to cook either:3lb whole chicken, 4 burgers, 2 t-bone steaks, about 12 ABTs, about 6 large hotdogs......
with another grid & a stainless steel ring 1.5"high x 9" diam you'd get a second layer to cook on double that ,except for the chicken of course :>)
