Wahoo!!!!Pinewood derby results

"Sparky"

Our Cub Scout pack had their pinewood derby this afternoon.My son's car finished 3rd overall in speed



Congrats to Carson :woohoo: He designed and painted this car all by himself,and was very proud(as was I) The pack decided earlier to let the dads have a go at it also,and I did pretty well too :blink: I finshed 3rd overall in speed,and also got 1st&2nd in "Best of Show" :woohoo: Here are our other entries







The kids and adults all had a great time,and that's what it's all about I hope that ya'll had as much fun as we did today Thanks for listening

Pretty nice cars indeed. That is a great idea, the kids and the dads making cars. You seem to have a good time with the family. Grandpas' proud of you. Those younger years pass by pretty quickly.

We did too, got a chance to have the oldest grandson come (just 13) and we played Age of Empires the whole day except for an hour or two when we made some chili verde together. The rest of the time we ate summer sausage, cheese and crakers - all done on the egg. Got to induct those 'little buggers' some how. I had him glove up, as did I, I cubed the pork, and he cut up 8 sorenno's, 6 jalapeno's, 3 ananheim's, onion some chicken stock, and seasoning. Hot but great and he cooked it himself. We ate like kings and he wanted to take 'his' cook home for his mom and dad.

Thanks Adam,we both had a great time working on these cars.I'm just glad that he had fun :woohoo: He's only 6yrs old,so he couldn't help me with the power tools,but he was so proud telling his friends that "our car" won

Sparky, I remember those days, barely. It was always a great time by all. All kinds of excitement and anticipation by both Dads and Sons. And then the RACE was on!! As your son gets older he will be able to do more of it himself and not even realize he is learning while having fun. Keep the memories, they will be over before you know it. Congrats!! Mike
