"White Shipping Do-thingys?"

In another post I read where some one was reminding the new person to get the "white shipping do-thingys" when she gets her preassembled showroom floor model. It made me think, both of my white plastic hinge shipping locks (I have no idea where that name came from either!) are broken. Where can I get some more? Mother ship? My egg has traveled on a trailer in its table 25 miles and then after resting comfortably for 3 weeks it traveled 10 feet up onto the deck (I will complete physical therapy in 3 more weeks and the orthopedist said the steriod and anesthetic will make the pain better in a couple of months) where I do not anticipate another move until the movers come to get us. Then it will travel a little more. All of this to ask do I need them and where can I get some more? I thought about making some out of flat steel but that seems like overkill. Thanks.

I have done a large a few times using some large wire cables harnesses and they hold fine, also a couple of wraps of string will hold the tension.

Most any dealer should have some extra shipping tabs. As Richard said the heavier wire ties work well. I'm sure you know if you have to move it by yourself that you can remove the inner workings, tie the springe hinge with tie wraps, loosen the top, lift it off, and you can move the bottom easy by putting one hand through the vent hole and reach around the Egg base with the other. I've moved larges and extra larges using this method many times.

    Be careful with the back,
