How does this EggFest thing work anyway?
Hello all, I was bitten by the ceramic bug last summer when I came accross a Primo200 Gas unit-(best thing in my price range). and now I'm convinced I want to get into a charcoal one. The Eggfest seems like a great way tolearn the ropes and get a new Large at a great price. But how does this whole thing work anyway if you plan on cooking? Do you just bring a cooler full of meat and cook all day?
I'm really planning on going but I'd like to know what to expect, what to bring, and how much food. Any details on this event would be great.
thanks

WailingAngusBeef, first thing to do is to register (seelink below for Waldorf Eggfest.) If you want to cook, indicate so on you registration and bring all the ingredients for what you want to cook. You'll also need to bring you knives, any grill implements you use (foil, tongs, meat thermometer, spatula, etc) and typically something to serve it on. I always bring some small plates and either toothpicks or forks since often times, even if they are supplied they tend to run out. If I don't nee dthem, I just take them back home. No need to bring a cooler full of meat, just enough to do one cooking should be ample. Besides, you might want some of that cooler space for other goodies. Besides that, arrive early, stay late and thoroughly enjoy yourself.
