OT: Best Sports Weekend

IMHO, NFL Divisional Playoff weekend is the best sports weekend of the calendar year. 2 games Sat, and 2 Sun all of which are huge to say the least. 8 teams, 4 move on, 4 join me on the couch.
My Favorites: Chargers, Colts, Saints, and Vikings
Curt Warner is hot, but I hope Brees can outperform.
Cowboys/Vikes seems to be the most appealing matchup with the boys having the hot hand, but the old man coming off a career year.
Colts, no problem.
Chargers, no problem.

I think you got it right.Hope so anyway!!!

Cowboys will win. They have Favres' number. I like the rest of your picks.

Dallas has been playing very well. They will run for a 150 or so easily, and Romo will connect with Austin for a score or two. Favre will connect for a couple TD's too. It might come down to wether Peterson can break off a decent run.

I thought last week end was pretty good too. I was sad to see the Bengals get knocked out. :( At least they did not get blown out like the week before.
Dallas - Minnesota should be a really good game, and Arizona - New Orleans should be pretty fun to watch since you know there is going to be some scoring. -
Favre is 2-9 lifetime against Dallas. That includes a 0-3 mark in the postseason.
-
Does that matter since that was against a totally different Dallas team, was over 10 years ago, and when he was playing for a different team? Im not sure there is even one player in this game other than Brett played in any of those three games.
btw...thanks for your reply. Love a good friendly debate!

And this is why they play the games...
I'm from Baltimore and used to root for the Colts, and still root for them when they're not playing the Ravens. This should be a good match-up if the last game is any indication.
I'm planning a brisket cook for the game. The 8:15 start gives me plenty of time to get it done.

I agree. I was just quoting useless statistics. But I think Dallas' defense will be too much for him.

Thanks for your reply. Im a lifelong Falcons fan, but enjoy hearing from other fans how they feel about their teams and the league in general.
Is there still animosity in Baltimore about the Colts leaving? Is there a bad blood factor in this game? Did you embrace the Browns immediately when they moved to town? -
Little bit of extra drama in the Ravens - Colts game since there is probably no love lost between the cities - at least for the old timers who remember that move.
Maybe someday the Ravens will play the Browns in a playoff game. Nahhh, never happen unless the Browns can find a way to stop being a punching bag for the rest of the league. Of course, as a Bengals fan, I never want to see the Browns become more than what they are right now - still the mistake by the lake. -
I think you are right about the weekend. I'm torn on the Cards/Saints game. I support both teams, love Kurt Warner but the Saints won us $800 in a 33 pool this year!
Big Chargers fan & Colts for sure, hoping Brett can pull it out. -

When the Colts first left we were devastated. Some people never got over it and still hold a lot of unnecessary animosity toward the Colts. Time heals... some people will take it to far over the bad blood aspect, but I think for the most part people have moved on.
As far as the Browns/Ravens, no I was just as upset for Cleveland as I was when the Colts left town, it was a bad deal all around. I switched allegiances to the Raiders during that time but came around to the Ravens once it was determined that Cleveland would get another team.
I think that we should have been able to keep the team name and colors when the Colts left, it still stings to see that uniform on another team.

It's interesting that Peyton is such a Johnny Unitas fan.
