Sounds fantastic Hoss! I know what buttermilk biscuits are,...I think I know what salmon croquettes are....but golly, sawmill gravy caught my interest, never heard of it.... but I'd sure like to find out.
I'll be keeping a watch for your report.

REAL brown gravy,Melted bacon grease and flour cooked til it makes a medium brown roux,then add liquid of your choice til it is the consistency of your choice.watery ,thick or in between which is what I prefer.Remember it will NEVER get as thick as it's going to til it boils!If you let it boil and it looks too thick you can always add liquid,if it's too thin,let it reduce!!!

Excellent Hoss....sounds yummmmmy,just what I need this winter for my slim frame, trying to put on a little weight this year, my resolution for 2010.
In 30 min. I'm off to donate blood. This time I'll get a 3 gal. pin. So they say I'm saposto eat and drink like a dog to re-energize after donation. OK, Buffalo wings and beer tonight! :woohoo:
