I have about 4 pounds of PSR's that need cooked. I have read the recipe on this site, but I was hoping to get a few more ideas. Come on boys and girls, what is the ultimate Spare Rib recipe? Time is not a factor, I could cook em for 3 days if need be.

Trim the ribs, reomve the membrane, rub them with your favorite rub. Then cook them indirect at 200-250 with a little wood (hickory, apple and pecan are what I prefer for ribs) until they are ready. They'll be ready when the meat has pulled back from the bone (5-6 hours). [p]Or, cook them direct, flipping every 45 minutes. [p]Serve sauce on the side, or brush sauce on during the last 20-30 minutes of cooking.

  • Hamm,
I love the JSlot method, I think he has revised his temps, but the most tender ribs I have every tasted. It is in the Wise one's cookbook.
