I wanted to try this but have a question. Does it have a coffee flavor to it? I like coffee, but my wife hates the taste.

Nate ,[p]Well yes, you can taste coffee in it. It is almost like a coffee/dark chocolate flavor that hits. I love it, but then again I down many espresso in the course of a day. Maybe try a small one and don't tell her there is coffee in it and see howsit goes. Even if she hates it, you'll love it. Or invite me over.[p]mShark

The coffee provides kind of a malty, and as Monica sez, kinda chocolaty. Still, I would think that if you are serving to folks that don't like the taste of coffee, you should probably not put coffee on the meat.....unless, 'course, you got some alternatives fer the missuz![p]Nice thing is with tenderloins you can do several, and use different flavors on each.

Nature Boy,[p]Not necessarily true.[p]I *REALLY* do not like the taste of coffee, but I've had some coffee crusted *loin* (not tenderloin) and it was good. [p]That Red-Eye stuff is actually starting to grow on me, too. I'll most likely order another when the time comes.[p]BOB

Nate ,[p]I don't really notice a specific coffee flavor, but then again, I LOVE coffee, so probably wouldn't notice. [p]It's a really interesting marriage of flavors and the best way to describe the result is simply WOW! Since pork tenderloins usually come two to a package, you could do one with the experimental coffee crusted recipe, and do the second with a tried and true that you know your wife likes...that way, if she doesn't like it, you have another to satisfy her tastes. But I'm guessing you and she will be pleasantly surprised![p]Tonia
