Hello,[p]Does anyone have a quick and easy grilled pork chop recipe. I layed out pork chops to thaw before I left for work. I want to throw these on the egg when I get home. I won't have time to marinade. I have a sample pack of Dizzy Pig Rubs. What should I use and what time and temp should I cook these at? [p]Thanks in advance,
Kenny

    PackerFan,
Simply sear the pork chops at a high temp just like you would steaks. As a matter of fact, this is exactly what I had planned on cooking tonight for dinner. Thanks to you suggestion, I will user some DD. Get the temp of the egg up to 600 and sear each side of the chop for four minutes each. Depending upon the thickness of the chop, you should increase the dwell time to five to ten minutes.[p]Hope this Helps,

PackerFan, thick chops i use the trex method with olive oil salt pepper and rosemary or DP cowlick. if the chops are thin, i sear at 800 F for about 2 minutes a side and then immediatly wrap in foil for 5 or so minutes.

PackerFan,[p]Kenny~G posted a technique a while back that's very good on chops.
Basically, you smoke the chops at a very low temp until they take on some smoke, say 200* grate level, then pull them off the grill, crank up the heat and sear them them until they're done to your liking. This method works really well on thicker cut chops.[p]As for the Dizzy Pig Rubs, lately I'm partial to Raging River on pork. [p]Good luck,
