brisket temp - thawed vs fresh

Just wondering if anyone has experienced the same cook time differences for a thawed brisket vs a fresh brisket. The last couple I've cooked were frozen then thawed and it took about 1hr per pound vs the usual 1.5 hr per pound for a fresh one.

I'm not sure why this happens so if someone has an explanation for it, that would be great.

thanks!
