This is the kind of thing that I think a level headed 'assistant' might be able to kill off well before you could. There are many folks here who spend far more time on the site than the administrators. Three of them are level headed and even keeled. If they had the ability to kill-off pointed attacks like this, this post would have been gone in five minutes. as it is, it lingers a half day or so, giving the troll a reason to keep doing it, and giving others a reason to visit less.

No one called for giving certain members the ability to censor at will. It's not a difficult test. "Is it an anonymous personal attack, rather than a simple disagreement or argument?" if anyone says this is the kind of post that doesn't deserve to be deleted, then i guess anything goes.

doesn't reflect on the site or BGE very well. and though they aren't truly tied together, i bet few folks realize that. Perception is reality. and so it appears that on the "BGE forum", it's ok to attack people personally.

please take it down. although it's been there for half a day already, i'm sure there are a few folks who might have missed it.

He didn't "give Celtic Wolf a break" over the holidays. More likely, it took that long for him to find the backdoor he used to post his latest attempt at humor. That backdoor has now been locked; so, let's see how long it takes him to get a new ip address. Until he does, he won't even be able to read this.

I was pleased to see that nobody responded in the 14 hours that it was there. It sure does seem sad that such people have nothing better to do. It's hard to imagine a more useless waste of time (or skin for that matter).

i agree that people shouldn't respond, but sometimes frankly it's good sport.

regardless of whether anyone responds to this, i can't imagine it is something that ought to be allowed to linger.

i don't know what back door he's using. but you can disguise an IP address pretty easily. dunno how you have it set up, but if it is by blocking an IP address, they can be changed by simply visiting a site that disguises the IP address of the user
