Great Mini idea from my son

Today - I messed around with Fred's (Fred's music and BBQ) idea of removing the fire ring on the mini and using some foil to hold grate and VCR on the mini. This allowed enough room to use a VCR and roast a chicken standing up in the mini. My thought was to use with a mini woo the same way and use a stone for indirect cooks. Then my son (23 year old so his mind is faster) made a suggestion and felt it would be more professional.
My wife had an old pizza stone that was all chipped up. He said to cut a few 1/4 or 1/2 moon pieces out of it about an inch wide or whatever the width of the firebox on the mini. They would end up shaped kind of like a banana. Then, they can be laid on the top of the firebox and the mini woo will sit on them. He suggested 2 or 3 - either 4" or 6" long - and 1" wide. He suggested to cut 6 so I could have 3 different heights by stacking 2 on top of each other. The stone is exactly a 1/2" thick so that would give me the height of the MW - an additional 1/2" with one set of the "raisers" as he called them - or a total inch if I stacked the second set on top. This could be used on the fire ring too to raise the minis normal grid or MW.
Now that's a heck of an idea! Dang - those young minds piss me off! Now he wants to know if he can start making them and selling them. :-)

Kiln posts work great and or or don't cook vertical.

The above link is simply to show the posts. Never dealt with them, the posts are cheaper at a local ceramic shop or even used.
