Hello,[p]I am going this afternoon to pick my first egg. Can't wait. I am going to build a cart for the egg but it will take me a couple of weeks to get to it. Does anybody have any ideas in the meantime of how I can still enjoy it? Can I set it on the ground and cook? I certainly don't want to look at it without using it. [p]Kenny[p]P.S. Thanks for everyones input yesterday on matching accessories. I used the knickname "stil trying to think of a nickname". I have settled one that I think will work. I apologize in advance to any Vikings or Bears fans.

PackerFan,[p]You can definately use it. It comes with some feet or spacers that it can sit on if you have a solid, level, non combustible surface (patio, drivewat, etc.). If not just sit in on the ground some where. Nature Boy has posted some great photos of his camping experiences with his BGEs smoking away sitting right on the ground. Good luck and I like how you say you are picking up your "first" egg. [p]Chuck

  • PackerFan,
Pretty soon, you'll want to get a small so you can take it to the tailgate parties. Then when you do take it to the tailgate parties, everyone will want to know, WHAT THE HECK IS THAT! Sure makes for good conversation. Go RAMS-RAMS-RAMS See-Yaa

    PackerFan,
Congrats on getting the BGE. It's the last/best grill you'll ever own. Let me guess...you're going to paint the hinge straps yellow?
    Go Bucs![p]Jim

    PackerFan,
After seeing the post with the blue egg I think that I, a Colts fan, needs one to combat the Jets and Packers fan. Maybe Peyton and his new signing bonus can make it happen. Go Colts!!![p]

    Steve-B,
I got ahead of myself with the link. there was supposed to be a photoshopped horseshoe and white stripes on the egg.

BeerMike,[p]No I live in Missouri. You know how Viking fans can be towards Packer fans, especially after that Arizona loss last year. Green Bay will likely own NFC Central for a few years to come! Tip a Beer to that.[p]Kenny

BucsFanJim,[p]Thank you. I can't wait to fire it up. I hadn't thought about painting straps and handle. Good idea. I thought about painting helmet on sides and building table with green & yellow tiles. I am glad your Bucs are no longer in the NFC Central.[p]Kenny

JSlot,[p]Too late. I didn't wear my jacket to local dealer and he sold me one not knowing I was a Packer Fan. Anyone smoked cheese on an egg?[p]Kenny
