    <p />Danny,
Direct at 350. Don't know how thick they are so don't know a time.
Melt 1/2 butter with 1/2 maple syrup and paste last few minutes.[p]CWM

  • Danny,
I marinate my salmon filets a little differently. I put about a cup of maple syrup and throw in some soy sauce in a large zip lock bag. Put filets in bag and let sit overnite in fridge. Then I grill. Does not take a long time. When salmon starts to flake and change color. you could brush with additional maple syrup at end of cook if you liked. They have a wonderful carmelized outer layer and the best salmon youve ever eaten.!

  • Danny, Mix 1 cup honey with 1 oz burbon (Makers Mark is what I use & drink) and brush the top of the salmon and let rest in the fridge for four hours. Brush one more time before putting on indirect at 250* for two hours. Last time I used a fist full of alder and a fist full of apple wood and dusted one of the fillets with a dry jamacian jerk rub. At one hour went out and hit 'em again with the honey/burbon glaze and they were too good for words. Also smokes a few large sweet potatoes (put them on earlier because at 250 they need more time to cook than the salmon. Serve with some asparagus and you're the king. I's good to be the king!!! Joe
