I frequently need to check temps after dark or even in dim light, and I could really use a backlit lcd. As it is, I need to bring a flashlight out with me and shine it on the thermapen.

It's almost an ideal tool for me.

You guys need to get a headlamp or a visor light for a ball cap. ;)

Although a back lit pen would be sweet.

I bought my splash-proof superfast from Mollyshark just a couple of months ago. Looking at the web-site neither of the superfast pens show back-lit lcds, so I must be missing it.

How do you activate it? i don't see it in the user's manual, either.

Hey - I'm a leftie too, and am always trying to 'read' the wrong side of that thing :silly: .

Well I read it was supposed to be..
  • Neither is mine :ermm: It would be nice if it did.
  • . Come on, if we can learn to use right handed scissors, we can certainly learn to read numbers upside down, can't we? However, the right handed ash tool is giving me fits.
