No condiments needed with Witchy Red pork burgers
RRP
Posts: 26,128
A local meat packing house sells preformed 1/3lb pork burger patties that are a good alternative to beef burgers. Last night I rubbed them with Ken Stone's Witchy Red and then egged them. I'm here to tell you those were extremely tasty and no condiments were needed. Yummy - terrific tasting sandwiches!!!

RRP,
i know i've said this before. . but since i discovered dizzy cowlick on a burger, and now witchy red on a burger. . . i don't put them on buns, add cheese, use ketchup, nothing. .. naked burger done either way are the best. . . why cover them up??

RRP,
If Ken ever decides to sell that rub, can someone please post and let me know where I can buy it??? I've e-mailed him and never got a response.

RRP,
How do you make your 1/3 pound burgers? I plan on doing some burgers tonight and need some advice. I have seen a ton of ideas...what really works the best. I plan on using ground sirloin.

Steve-B,
The pork burgers I mentioned were preformed 1/3# patties from a meat packing house. As for making my own hamburgers I use a food scale and make a ball, weight it then + or - meat. I then use a hamburger press which makes perfectly round and flat patties. Since I'll prepare 5 or 8 pounds at a time I then freeze them on a cookie sheet and the next day seal in a Food Saver. If you don't freeze first the Food Saver makes them flat as road kill.
