Abt's and Kraut Chicken
Every time I think I know something I get proven wrong by the dedicated long time Eggers on this forum. I remember saying it was best to cut the amount of bacon when doing ABTs by doing the boats and just laying a strip on top of them. Well I tried the whole stuffed ones with a whole strip of bacon wrapped around it and it was definitely better. As for the Chicken stuffed full of sour kraut , I have never had a better chicken, it didn't take on a lot of the flavor from the kraut but definitely seems more moist.

Just used a bag of kraut instead of can (wife said it was suppose to be better), sprinkled salt, pepper, typical roasted chicken rub inside and out (w/olive oil) before stuffing / packing it with the kraut and cooked on the small in v-rack while I cooked 3 more in the large in vertical stands with beer underneath all four in the drip pans of ea. 300 till done acccording to internal meat t. Ate the kraut one gave one to sick friend and got two in freezer that I made some real good, authentic enchilada sauce to go with later this week, just as soon as we polish off that big iron pot of chili we made yesterday and had to hold off to sample it because we had ny stips last night. going to be doing a lot of this type stuff now , cause we picked up a vacuum sealer yesterday the latest one a 900 series or something 159.00. The steaks are so good on Egg I saw the post today on the Thermopen and just ordered that too. I think I've really lost it ...hadn't I...
