EggFest - Waldorf, Md.
Who-eeeeeeee Hot Damnnnnn! Where do I start. Let me start with thanking Tim M. who kept the web site rolling and Nature Boy for the graphics. My staff, especially Sue, Jennifer & James and of course my lovely wife Rona who agreed to be the DD so I could party down. Jewell and Jim for their support from BGE and to Mr. Fisher who insisted they participate. Sorry he couldn't make it at the last minute - and an especially big thanks to all who came and cooked & brewed.
I must admit at first I was a little apprehensive about the whole concept of an Eggfest and of smoking up so many new eggs. BUT IT WAS WORTH EVERY DAMN PENNY!! YOU WONDERFUL PEOPLE MADE IT HAPPEN!!
I just can't say enough about all the people I had an opportunity to party with. Now ya'll have really made an egg head out of me. I can't wait to try some of those great recipies. Everyone was just fantastic, and I was overwhelmed with the distances that people traveled to be apart of E2K. But having a party was the real reason for coming.........wasn't it? Hope everyone made it home safely.
Hope everyone had a great time at Captain Billy's CrabHouse. I apologize for the mix up with the alcohol at the VFW, that won't happen again.
Thanks to Egger Steve and One Thin Dime, wern't they great? Hope next year they can get larger speakers. How about the walk up entertainment; Jim and his family, what a pleasant surprise.
Would appreciate any comments that will make EF2K1 a better time. You can e-mail me at drjck@olg.com or reply via the forum. SO...... we are already looking at date for next year. Most likely the last Saturday in April again, which is April 28, 2001. ?????
It was a real pleasure making everyone's acquaintance, looking forward to seeing each and everyone of you again next year. Thanks again to everyone for making E2K a success!!!!!!! Love to you all!
- Da Mayor of Waldorf AKA Dale Kelley[p]PS I am going to start training now for the Atlanta Eggtoberfest. I won't be embarresed again by a lil ole lady from Atlanta who drank me under the table.

Da Mayor,
What a great time we had. Thanks for your efforts in making E2K a success. We'd surely make the trek again next year. I'm trying to convince my wife that Atlanta should be our October destination. We both had a blast even though we could be there only for the Saturday festivities. I understand we missed some good times on Friday and Saturday nights.

Da Mayor,
Our pleasure it was, and you're staff and BGE did a bang up job! Really happy to hear you are gonna do it again next year! The alcohol mix up was no big deal. Hopefully you didn't make any enemies with the VFW folks, but everybody kind of ignored those announcements! I should say "responsibly ignored"!! It was a blast, and there was no hiding the fact that you had as good a time as any of us![p]Cheers, and see ya next year.

Da Mayor,[p]We're all glad that once again the crazy BBQ'ing weird'os here on the Internet could surprise everyone and come hundreds of miles to BBQ for each other with great success. Thanks Dale for trusting in James with his hairbrained idea about ceramic smokers. Even you were surprised when you took that first bite of pizza Spin made for you -- can you beleive that that came from a charcoal smoker/grill?? Neat product. [p]Thanks again -- lets do it again!![p]Tim

Da Mayor,[p]You were the perfect host. (I *never* would have known how many dozens of crabs, corn fritters & hush puppies to order at Cap'n Billy's.)[p]Thanks for letting us all run riot around your town -[p]Cathy

Da Mayor,[p]I think we all owe you and your people a loud "THANK YOU"! You helped us all with our little "addiction". I know for me, I needed a fix, and waiting until October wasn't really an option![p]Smokey
