QBabe,[p]Very nice chunks of cherry. How long do you have to wait till it's not considered "Green"?
-
GrillMeister,[p]The tree has been down for quite awhile now (maybe 6-8 months), so I'm figuring it has "seasoned" quite well laying in the pasture and is "egg-ready" for me to use right now...[p]Tonia

QBabe, Cherry keeps getting darker with age. I would await any use til after seasoning which to me would mean a clocking of 4 seasons. Here that means winter, mud, summer, winter. Until it's darker you may notice a bitter taste. Good luck

QBabe,
Although the tree has been down for quite awhile, until it is cut up, it doesn't give up it's moisture as quickly. The wood looks a little green yet, but exposure to heat, sunshine and away from rain/moisture will cure this in no time.[p]That is a good looking picture![p]Mike in MN
