How Big a Brisket

Can anyone tell me how big a brisket I need to serve 10 people? I had one butcher tell me a half pound per person, but I know they shrink quite a bit. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Thanks

You could get by with a 14lb packer, as long as they don't eat as much brisket as I do. Considering a 40 percent loss that will give you slightly over 8lbs of cook meat, along with a few sides and maybe an appetizer or two, should be plenty.

4 pounds...
However, get a 12-14 pound WHOLE Brisket. You'll be happier. -
Are you feeding the senior ladies bridge club or the Green Bay Packers?
What else are you serving?
Lunch, dinner, game time snack?
Make a big one and freeze the rest. -
Thanks for the replies. I will also be doing a pork roast for some that may not be crazy about brisket. After talking with my butcher I decided to go with a 6 lb. flat. The way people in the group eat, it could be a combination of the ladies bridge club and the green bay packers. I will be doing this on my large egg. Thanks again.

Those that know, ride the Glide.

Ultra Classic is correct. Last year I went to rally in Fayetteville, Arkansas; Bikes, Blues and BBQ. They had a peoples choice night, where for $5, they gave you a plate and a fork and you could go around and sample everyones BBQ and vote for your favorite. I hope to make it back there sometime. Excellant Q

Nice Road Glide Rod
You all have fuel injected as for me I'm an 04 carb!
I love it until I need to ride in the high country.
I need to ride over to Fayetteville, Arkansas; Bikes, Blues and BBQ and get me some Q. It's almost 600 miles one way for me. Tim
