Eggfest in Waldorf
Squeeze

Well, I am still pondering attending but I am not sure where to fly into. DOes anyone have any suggestions as to where to fly into that would not be a huge drive from the airport to Waldorf. Baltimore/DC is about 45 miles, and I am not sure of other airports in the area. Thanks in advance![p]-Kevin

Squeeze,
National (DCA) is probably closest, but Dulles (IAD) or BWI are reasonable at about an hour's drive.[p]I'd go with the cheapest fastest route.
Look forward to seeing you there. [p]Those who have not registered, go do it! Best time in the world.

Nature Boy,
Are the rooms at the hotel blocked off yet?

And are the fire alarms disconnected? LOL!

Nature Boy,[p]Is there a train station anywhere nearby? Maybe a cab ride away? I'm planning on being down there two weekends in a row and am thinking of taking the train one weekend or perhaps both to save on wear and tear on my car.[p]Looking very forward to this. Last year was so much fun, I actually slept through the whole fire alarm incident. All of the food and alcohol I consumed that day/night allowed me to conveniently ignore the strobe lights and alarms going off a few feet from my bed...[p]Heeee,

Cornfed,[p]To answer my own question, I see an Alexandria, VA station which is about 25 miles away. It's $186 round trip for the train plus whatever cabs would cost, but at least I know I have a non-driving alternative...[p]Heee,

Cornfed,[p]That non-driving alternative could also address the drunken stupor you mentioned in your other post (smiley)! Boy, I don't know how the heck you SLEPT through the fire alarm chaos....![p]Tonia

QBabe,[p]Allegedly, I was on my back, fully clothed, with my feet still on the ground. I was apparently sitting on the end of the bed in conversation then eventually just leaned back and went to sleep without fully getting into bed.[p]There are no photos of this post-post-post-party. Actually, there very well may be some pics. Maybe they'll soon start circulating on the Internet....[p]Later,

Cornfed,
while alexandra may be slightly closer mileage wise. .. if you want to be able to easily get a rental car, i would suggest union station in washington d.c. . .on 3 or 4 miles further, but you can get a car right there. . .and its pretty easy to get down to waldorf from there. . .[p]let me know if you need any directions, etc. . .

Squeeze,
I would fly into Regan National, it's a breeze to drive from there to Waldorf. Might take you 35 mins if you don't stop to load up on beer to take with you to the party. You also better like to eat crab & hush puppies.LOL[p]Earl

mad max beyond eggdome,[p]I'm definitely interested in directions and other details. You can email me at dave at davidpace.net, or post details here as I check incessently most days recently...[p]Later,

Squeeze, You really need to price the cost of your flight round-trip from home to either BWI, National or Dulles. I typically fly from BWI as it almost always costs less. If you are flying from the other end of the country, Dulles my cost less. You would think that three airports within 45 miles from each other would cost the same. Not true in our neck of the woods.

RhumAndJerk,
Good question. I'll ask Lisa.
