I've been thinking about adding a wok. I've never cooked in one before, on stove or otherwise.

Did you make that meal from scratch? It looks just like something we dig out of those little cartons, only better.

Is wok cooking hard to pick up? We like the basic Chinese menu, nothing too spectacular. Any tips on the wok cooking or on the type of wok to buy? Thanks Kim and happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

While I'm at it, happy Thanksgiving to all. We appreciate all the tips, tricks, humor, and great recipes from the cult.
  • Kim,

Awesome cook buddy! Are there any fast food restaurants in the Greater Atlanta area you haven't put out of business?

    Scott,

Here is where I got my wok & spider.

There are several recipes on the forum for chinese food. Dr Seuss and I cooked fried rice & Szechuan Pork at Eggtoberfest so those recipes are in the 2009 Egttoberfest cookbook.

It is very easy to control the fire and cook chinese on the BGE. And yes tonights dinner was from scratch. The only frozen item was the peas.

Thanks Steven it was a tasty dinner and we haven't eaten Chinese take out in a loooong time..

Thanks Kim. I have the adjustable rig and spider, but now will soon have the wok. You should negotiate a commission with Tom after posting that meal.

Your photos were great. Only problem was that I was hungry again an hour later. What is up with that?
