I attended a funeral yesterday for the mother of a long time business associate. I swear..the minister walks in and he is a part time Elvis impersonater and I guess he must have had a show after. He was in full coiffure with sideburns down to his neck and the do was the size of a Davey Crockett hat. In flowing Anglican minesterial robe he conducted the service and at the end sang one of Elvis's religious ballads.

How on earth did everyone keep a straight face??? I tend to laugh at inappropriate times..... that would not have been good at all :(

Julie,
I was really hard not to. He was an Englishman too to make matters more absurd. Some folks couldn't help it.

WoW Steven that must have been pretty funny. Things just seem to be so out of the norm now adays. I went to a funeral a couple of weeks ago for a 26 year old young man who passed away. The funeral home is well known to be Mafia owned. Well when the service started this Mafia guy stood at the front with his shirt and tie on and started talking he said this Dude was a great guy (he didn’t even know the dead persons name) then he said his friends have stories to tell then he sat in the corner and sobbed as friends/family got up and spoke of their memories with the deceased.
Throughout the whole service there was not one prayer said!!!
