Thanks Mike...and yall. It's no big deal, as I've gotten itchy hives, like 4 times for 2-4 hours. Three times at BBQ contests after eating gobs of meat. No trouble breathing or anything crazy like that. There has been no diagnosis yet because my doctor tested for Lyme and knew nothing about any other tick born stuff. But my self-diagnosis seems likely since I got 4 tick bites in the last year and a half....both deer ticks and the bigger dog ticks. And they really screwed with my skin. I have one itchy bump from a deer tick that's been there 6 months.

Anyways, as long as I have benadryl on hand I can knock the hives down pretty quick, but it's freaky and itches like there is ants crawling under your skin. I need to get over to Charlottesville and see that allergist. If nothing else, I can be another subject in this quickly growing segment of victims.

So, no big deal, just thought I'd mention it since there is a real good chance someone reading this board might be getting unexplained allergic reactions. Ticks are indeed nasty. They just moved up on my most hated bug list....right over mosquitos and yellow jackets. Walking cesspools they are.

Anyways, back to good stuff....I could eat a few slices off any one of those steaks in your pictures!! Hope all is well down in Tejas. Tell your daughter (it's Marina right?) that we still have the wood piece that yall inscribed in our good luck drawer in the trailer. Cheers to ya pal.

Bottom line is most likely I'll have the same allergy (not to beer or tomatoes!) for a little while, then it will go away once everything levels out in my system. (hope!) This is new stuff though, and I'monna find out more fo sho.

Hope yall had a good trip back, and all is well.

Thanks bro. Yeah, it sounds like "they" don't know a ton about it yet. Maybe the terrorists were dropping loads of infected tick eggs ;-)

Hope all is well down in Flawda. Cheers toya.

One of the best things to do on the EGG is STEAK. For the most part it comes out just right. No need to second guess when doing steaks.

    Nice pics.
