Anyone have suggestions for cooking king crab legs on the egg? I'm pretty sure I've seen a pic of a grid loaded up with 'em, but can't remember who posted it or what the dome temp or timing was...[p]Thanks![p]Tonia

    QBabe,
If I could see them cooking I might be able to help.
My suggestion would be to cook them next week here in Lakeland

drbbq,[p]Friday night dinner? I'm not sure what time we'll get down there, since I may end up having to go back to work after my doctors appointment due to a huge grant deadline that day. It could end up being late like last time, but I'll have to see how the week progresses...maybe it'll be an after dinner snack instead![p]Can't wait!

<p />QBabe,[p]I have done them several times and man are they good. Slit the shell first with some scissors, toss with a little oil, then egg them at 275° for 10 minutes with a handful of alder chips. The alder gaves it a nice flavor as well as making the meat a little sweeter. [p]Good luck with them.[p]Chuck[p]

    Chuck,
Please refrain from posting this picture ever again. Every time I see it I have to get in my car, drive to the store and buy crab legs for dinner. Many other things that need to get done wind up getting ignored. It is not a good situation.

    QBabe,
Actually I'll be cooking some ribs on Friday. Eating ribs as opposed to judging ribs. Whole spares with just a little rub and no wrapping or fussing at all. Let them cook a while and eat them. I'll save you some.

JSlot,[p]MMMMmmmmmm! Looking forward seeing you again. Hopefully the weather will cooperate, too. It was in the mid 60's here today and turned out to be a beautiful day...[p]Margs to you,

Chuck,[p]THAT's the one I remembered! Thanks a bunch. I'll be cooking them up today, so I'll let you know how they do...[p]Are you going to Waldorf this year?[p]Tonia

QBabe,[p]Yes I will be going to Waldorf again, wouldn't miss it. I plan on coming Friday for the pre-Eggfest festivities this year. I didn't get to do that last year and feel I missed out by not getting to spend more time with the gang. That being said I had a blast and look forward to this year.[p]
Good luck with the crab legs, let us know how they turn out.[p]Chuck
