O.T. My Veterans Day

As always I went to my pub to be with my friends and other Veterans today. Not a large crowd but almost all regulars. The pub gave all Veterans Happy Hour drink prices and they prepared a very excellent turkey dinner, smashed taters and gravy,stuffing and cranberry sauce.



The lady/part owner prepard dinner herself in the kitchen and she served it to us while thanking each for our service. I thought that was a wonderful thing to do on this special day especially due to the fact that most in my age group come from the the time of that most unpopular war.



I thank them for making this small group of Veterans feel appreciated.



Thanks to the forum for allowing me to share my day with y'all and give them credit where due. I hope all of you had a great day also.

That was nice of her, it's good to be remembered.
I served after the "most unpopular war" and have always felt you guys deserved a little extra respect, you had a war and a very trying social enviroment to contend with,kind of a double whammy.
