I just pulled about 50 jalapenos off of my plants and I would like to smoke them for future use this winter. Does anyone have any easy techniques for smoking & drying jalapenos???
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Greetings,
I do lots of peppers on the egg and they keep for a very long time if kept airtight. I usually just take and slit them lengthwise but leave the top attached and put them on with favorite wood combo around 250 indirect for 4-6 hours or longer. Then put in dehydrator overnight. Make sure you put the dehydrator in the garage or outside for the process unless you like the smell of smokey/creosote type smell.

I did it one year but it was in a WSM, not the Egg. I just smoked them until they were shriveled and just about dried out. I vacuum bagged them at 4 to the bag and put them in the freezer. That was over 6 years ago and I think I still have some left. -RP

I do them the same way that I do jerky. If you have a guru, it's super easy. If you dont, moving them to a deydrator is the way to finish them after a long smoke. The egg never smells more amazing than when you have smokes peppers for hours with mesquite!! Scott
