Paving stone question

Now that I'm in my new home I have my table ready. The problem is that I can only find one set of the feet that came with the eggs. I have a large and a small to go into my table. Here's the question: If I use a paver under the eggs do I still need the feet? Right now I'm leaning toward putting them under the large on top of the paver, and just using a couple of other small squares of paver instead of the feet under the small.

I'd go back to the dealer and get more feet.
Also here's a good link to read.

From reading about the dangers of heat to your table I'd use the feet and put a couple of nickels under the paver - to get some air flow between that and the wood. Seems to work well for my setup. I've checked the temps under my paver a few times during sears and low-slows and it's always been under 180 degrees.
