Pizza Goodies from Whole Foods Market

Was in KC over the weekend for oldest daughters B'day and made a stop at WFM. Picked up a 1# bag of pizza dough, 1/4 oz of pepperoni and 1# fresh mozarella cheese. Dough was dang good and better than any of my attemps.
Split dough for 2 pizzas as I prefer a thinner crust.

Pizza 1

Pizza 2

First time with fresh mozarella and could tell a subtle difference (for the good). Pepperoni was not as spicy as I like but still good.
Wish I had remembered to take my cooler so I could have loaded up with more goodies :(

We've used the whole foods crust many times and have never been disappointed by it! Looks great.

Pretty Pie!Looks WAY better than any I've attempted. :(

I always have trouble flattening out the whole foods crust. Any tips for rolling it out?
-
Had trouble with it shrinking back some so I tried picking it up off the peel and used both hands to squeeze and rotate. This helped stretch it out under its own weight is my theory (and I'm sticking with it!).aka marysvilleksegghead

daughter gonna try it now?? -
Used the big guy (lrg) for this one!
I will definately recommend the dough!
She has a small she brought used last yr the same day as OKC and I have given her the stone and PS for it.
If she doesn't make one soon, I'll have to make a road trip!

Great looking pizza!! Thanks for the heads up on Whole Foods pizza dough. I've never tried it. They have a great selection of meats.

Dan,
I'm glad you had a successful trip to Whole Foods. I think it's a fun store.Almost as fun as Home depot
:silly:
For those having trouble stretching or rolling out the dough. If the dough resists being stretched out to the size you want. Cover it with a towel and let it rest for 20 minutes and try again. It should roll out easily after that.
Great looking pie Dan!

Jon:
I could hear the air bubbles popping as I worked the dough. Thought about looking for the rolling pin but
was afraid of compacking the dough too much. Don't know what the technique is called, but had good luck
with lifting it up off the peel and squezzing and rotating. Heck for $2.99 for 1# bag had to try it.
