Ahi Tuna steaks, 1st time, need help.

My Wife bought some beautiful Ahi Tuna steaks from Trader Joes, they are about 1-1/4" thick, and were bought frozen.
Anybody have a good simple marinade and cooking directions for the Egg??

I do tuna steaks in a very simple way. I coat them with a lemon-pepper rub and do a hi-temp sear. I like mine rare. I then use guacamole with wisabi as a topping.

clic for slide show i cook pretty much dome open so i can watch the gray form around the meat,, and i use the thermo pen a lot..
ponzu is soy with citrus ,make your own,,, soy with a squeeze of lemon ,, sesame seeds keep fish from sticking to the grill
you may not like it as raw as i do but careful as overcooking will dry it out.
wasabi mayo can be purchased at the grocery put some in a zip lock and cut a teeny corner off the bag and pipe a thin decorative line on the plate ?? -
I usually marinate with dark sesame oil, garlic, honey, fresh ginger for a couple hrs in the fridge. Get egg blazing, 700f plus... sear for 15 seconds per side for a nice cool center...

i've done it several times, there's a recipe on the egghead cookbook.
The last time I did it, I think we had the steaks on for about 45 seconds per side at about 500.
Bill's looks great too - same idea.
