Hoss, great looking meal for a yucky, rainy day !
i worked late and since the wifey and I are both stuffed up and coughing, she made a big pot of chicken/vegetable soup for supper - just what the doctor ordered! -
-
Sounds YUMMEE!Hope ya'll feel better soon!
-
Thank ya,Boss!

Dang that looks good. Slip a slice of Loney in there between the buns with a sprinkle of cheese and let the party begin. Sorry Little Chef, but it is Good Eats, just not on a regular basis. I have a major home town football game tomorrow and that warrants LONEY. Let the games begin and the dieting begin tomorrow.

Thanks. I've been putting up with the sinus congestion for several days, and now it's turning into a dry cough. Damn! Can't take decongestants due to high blood pressure - no fun waiting this out. I just hope it eases up before we go to Plano, otherwise it won't be as much fun!
Gotta finish off the gumbo tomorrow. Cook-off turn in is at 6:30 pm (Fall Festival for kids at church). I plan to simmer it for a few hours on my large BGE. I'm planning to decorate my area with camo cloth, duck decoys and shotgun shells; dress in camo with duck calls. Gotta influence the judges in any 'legal' way possible! :woohoo: -
I have had 'loney covered in chili n cheese on a bun.YUMMEE!Better than ANY chili dog!!!

That looks great Hoss,
I have my first London Broil to cook next.
Then my first Brisket
Then I just picked up two slabs of back ribs.
Then I may have what your are having. Did you bake your bread in the egg?
Tim -
Yes.I did bake the bread in the egg.350 dome,25 minutes.Sounds like you're gonna be a busy cook.
-
Hoss, They don't call me 2Fat for nothing! Ha Ha
Tim
Actually, nobody calls me 2Fat and it is a little ambitious but, We get the meats when we are out of town. As you can tell we have been out of town.
Let me ask you a question because I have been freezing chicken.
Do you freeze London Broil?
Do you freeze Brisket?
Do you freeze Back ribs?
Do you freeze Boston Butt? -
Clark - can you throw some hot sauce in your soup - and then a nice hot shower - drink tons of water and use saline spray -- those are my old wives cures (from an old wife here
) that seem to help a bit at least. -
Thanks. Using all the "folk" remedies I can, plus some OTC meds. I've found that cough syrup has helped me sleep without too much coughing and the losenges keep me from driving people crazy during the day. Very sparse use of Afrin spray works when I start mouth breathing.
