That really looks good! Makes me hungry just seeing your photos. What are cipolini onions, though? I've never seen them around here.

Cipolini onions are a small flat onion that I found at Whole Foods. They come in red and white. They make for an attractive presentation when you cook and serve them whole. They are a lot like the white cocktail onions Very tasty too.

Nice to have a Whole Foods handy. The nearest one to us is about 35 miles away, along with the Trader Joe's.
I'll bet that made some wonderful eating! I can't wait to try some of the more ambitious dishes on our new large egg. -
i could have that stew anytime...looks great!!
-
Beli,
Of course, there is the other method where you use stock in the stew and drink the wine

Serial Griller,
It looks very good. Did you do the stew on the egg?
What are the larger red onions shaped like chippolini?

Okay, let's have that duck recipe! Whole, parts, marinated first, seared first, temperature? I wonder if you could do it with goose, too. I've got about fifteen in my freezer.... -

I braised the meat in the wine for 5 hours then added the veggies the last hour.
The chipolini onions come in red or white. If you can't find chipolinis you can use pearl onions. Both varieties are very mild.
