Please Help

I just tried to create a new account and my computer (as they sometimes do) prompted a no longer valid email address. Unfortunately, I didnt catch before it was submitted and now I am stuck. I want to use the same Handle, Username and Password, but it says there aleady in use (by me...DAAAAAAAAAAA).

Who / how do I contact someone to assist? Can the webmaster help me correct this?

It's not that simple, as apparently they send you an email and you have to do something (reply maybe???) before you can log in. It's been a over an hour and I haven't received the email at my good address, so I assume it's being sent to the invalid address. Hence, my question.

I can help you get things straightened out.

If you create a new account, then all your old posts will remain on the old one. You can edit most everything about your account in "Member -> Edit my profile" -- that may get you what you need.

If you cannot get what you're looking for by editing your existing account, then I can help you get it going. In this case, please reply with the handles to both accounts and which one you'd like to use moving forward.

I'm not sure that you understand. I can't log in because my computer prompted an old and not funtioning email address and I didn't notice it until it was submitted. I need to somehow change the original email address suplied so that I can actually get the confirming email you (eggheadforum) is sending and complete the sign up process. If this is your first account, then you're correct, my concerns about your existing posts is irrelevant.

In this case, you can attempt to login, and, provided you supply the correct user name and password, you should be offered an opportunity to verify your email address when the system detects that you are logging in on a unconfirmed account.

That should get you going, but if not, then you'll need to reply with your correct email address (enter it as "mailbox at domain dot com") and I'll update the account manually and trigger a confirmation email.

You are correct... when I log in with the correct username and pw, I get a msg stating "Your registration process is not yet complete...Click OK to verify your email address". I click OK and the system prompts my incorrect / inactive email. If I accept it, it goes to the next page, but nothing has been accomplished because I cant receive the email. If I enter the corrected email nothing happens because the system cant match to the original. I'm at an impass. Please HELP!

It sounds like there's an issue with the confirmation process. After entering your correct email address, then system should have updated your account and triggered a confirmation email. I'll have to look into it.

Meanwhile, I've updated your account.
