pork sirloin roast

Hi,[p]I just received a large BGE for Christmas and I have a question about how to cook a pork roast in it. Should it be in a roast rack in a drip pan? Should there be water in the drip pan? What tempature? Approx. how long in the egg?[p]Thanks for any help,
Mike

Hey Mike and welcome![p]Great Christmas present![p]I have to guess you have a pork loin. I usually cook mine direct at 350*. Figure on about 20 mins. per pound but more importantly, shoot for an internal temp in the 145-150* range, then remove and wrap in foil. Let rest 15 mins or so; this will let the juices settle and the temp will continue to rise a little.[p]Hope this helps till others join in.
  • Shelby,
It is labeled as a ceneter cut pork roast.[p]Mike
