I often wandered where all the folks on this forum hailed from, so with an inability to sleep and having to remain quiet for the rest of the household, I reviewed the profiles, eliminating duplicates when known, and arrived at these numbers. I broke out the ladies that have
posted a profile. I apologize to our Aussie and Canadian friends for not breaking out provinces, too far into it when I woke up. The grid lines did not paste, so the first number by a states is total number of egger profiles, with 2nd number being ladies. Totally useless info, but the time passed rather quickly. BTW: grls in my forum name is short for grills!

toomanybbqgrls,[p]Thanks for the tasty tidbits of data. I think you have just given BGE the database for their marketing strategy over the next few years. Pair this up with some overall population data, identify large cities in underserved states, and bob's your uncle!. Very entertaining. Thanks.[p]Brett
  • toomanybbqgrls,
Interesting "totally useless info" but interesting nontheless. I did the same thing early one morning but I was trying to find all the Texas Eggheads. I followed up by e-mailing them and got a few nice replies back. I also got some returns because they had moved on without changing their profile. Eventually, I was able to contact most of the ones I missed and I'm glad I did because we were able to generate some Eggcitement for a Texas Eggfest. We held our first one in Temple Texas and already have another Eggfest scheduled in May in Austin. So your "totally useless info" may not be so useless after all. You just may have sparked a move to get even more info from our brother and sister Eggheads. You can go back to sleep now. You earned it.[p]Spring Chicken

toomanybbqgrls,[p]A few years ago I posted a profile but now I never use it, don't even know how to find it. I just come here periodically and read, find recipes or post a very infrequent question. [p]If you want to add my info to your stats feel free...[p]I am female, & in Atlanta. Have been egging since 1999.[p]Kimberly[p]
  • toomanybbqgrls,
Someone must have gotten their X-mas shopping done early! If you ever get reaalllly bored, how about breaking it down, state by state, & providing a list of the individuals by their namesake? Also, how about a calendar of all the 2004 eggfest cooks by location that have been planned so far? I alwasys thought that would be a useful calndar to have.

  • Kim,
The only "Kim" in the profiles is a diemaker from Grand Rapids,Michigan. Is that you? If so, you can go to the Profiles at the top of this page and update to your Atlanta address. [p]Meanwhile, try to hang out with us a little more. We're a pretty good group to know and we would value your input.[p]Happy Holidays[p]Spring Chicken

Martini Mark in MSP, I agree. It would be nice to post not only the EGGfests but also when any of our forum members will be participating in a BBQ contest. It's sort of fun to shake the hand of someone you know only through this forum.

    Spring Chicken,
That is not me. I have been in Atlanta since 1992. I once did create a profile named "Kim". I will just post a new profile. Thanks![p]Kimberly[p]
